Thanksgiving and all that good stuff…

Our Thanksgiving took place on Friday afternoon because we had to adjust to everyone’s schedules who were coming from out of town.  My sister and I attended the Black Friday madness at Wal-Mart at 5:00am.  We were the smart one’s with a list of things we wanted, and arrived about 10 minutes before the chaos began.  (No reason to wait in line…didn’t have any big ticket items on my list.)  People were a bit crazy when the announcement came over the loud speaker that you could begin.  Seemed as though the employees were more rude than the shoppers.  There were a few incidents – being bumped with carts, & people grabbing something as you were reaching for it, but nothing major.  No injuries on our end, and we got all but 2 things on the list.  After shopping, we grabbed a coffee at Buffalo Coffee, and headed home to begin cooking.  I made Cranberry Mandarine Salad, Green Bean Casserole, Crescent Rolls, Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Baked Potato Salad.  The following people were crammed into our house: Our crew of 6, Nicki, Johnny, Madi, Daniel, Audra, Austin, Zachary, Dad, Nancy, Jesse, Daniel #2, Tom, Val, and Joyce.  We had some delicious food, enjoyed an awesome Razorback football game, kids watched Wall-e, and overall just had a great time.  We are planning a trip to Texas the week of Christmas, but we’ll see. *fingers crossed*
